Our employment supports program has supported many people with disabilities find employment, so, whether you’re a school leaver or simply looking for a job, our experienced team will support you to find the best pathway towards employment for you. Our founder, Michael Cham, has been supporting people with disabilities for over 20 years to find unique work experiences and paid employment opportunities. Our program has supported thousands of young adults with disabilities transition into diverse roles from café baristas and kitchen hands, to government admins, landscapers, librarians, teacher’s aides, and more.

Work experience not only boosts your confidence but also highlights areas where you can grow.

Throughout your journey, our dedicated team will support you every step of the way, offering on-the-job training and guidance during your work experience. Our ultimate goal is to see you secure paid employment and provide ongoing support to ensure you succeed.

What will I learn during the Believeability employment program?

We work closely with you to develop a personalised plan focused on building the skills and confidence you need to succeed. Our program supports learning at your own pace, whether that be through gaining qualifications, completing apprenticeships, or practical, hands-on work experience. We also focus on realistic outcomes to maximise your chances of success and gaining employment. 

Our experienced team will support you with work preparation, refreshing your reading and maths skills, if needed, and guide you through getting your driver’s licence and essential qualifications. Throughout your journey, we provide ongoing guidance and support to help you navigate the path towards employment.

Since joining Believability Grace has become a much more confident, mature and independent young woman. This has developed from the support and encouragement received from Michael and his team of support workers. This is the first group that Grace has enjoyed being a part of, feeling that she belongs and has friends for the first time in her life.

Grace looks forward to attending the Saturday outings every week, as well as having midweek independent living skills support at home. This has helped her develop everyday skills at home, cooking, grocery shopping, cleaning and organising her own room, as well as travel training to catch the local bus. It has been so encouraging seeing the positive changes as Grace’s confidence and independence has continued to develop.
